The session commenced with Dr. Abdul Salam Bawarzai, the Provincial Officer of Kandahar JACK Office, extending a warm welcome to the delegation and participants from the central office. He also underscored the significant topics on the agenda.
Following this, Dr. Shahab Patan, the Technical Officer of Kandahar Provincial JACK Office, addressed the attendees, emphasizing the meeting’s importance and the crucial role of supervisors in resolving technical issues in clinics.
Dr. Hafeezullah Khalilzoi, leading the delegation from JACK’s head office, provided a detailed discourse on the rational use of medicines and the effective utilization of both medical and non-medical devices. He also spoke about the enhancement of incentives and the delivery of standard services. Dr. Khalilzoi commended the provincial officials for their swift and effective supply of medicines, RUTF (Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food), vaccines, food, and other essential equipment.
Dr. Ahmadullah Faizi, a representative from the Public Health Department of Kandahar Province, urged the health center officials to adhere to their duties diligently and deliver quality health services in compliance with existing rules and regulations.
Additionally, Dr. Ajmal Habibi, the head of UNICEF, expressed gratitude towards the provincial officials for their rapid resolution of health issues in the province and encouraged the participants to maintain their dedication to their responsibilities.
Concluding the meeting, the health center officials shared their challenges and assured their commitment to close cooperation with the provincial officials of JACK.
Notably, the technical team from the central office also conducted monitoring visits to Dr. Shamsul Haq Kakar and Hadira health centers.
