Jack’s deputy expressed his gratitude to the officials of the World Health Organization and all the cooperating agencies who are working to eliminate polio in Afghanistan and expressed his assurance of legal cooperation in this regard.
He said that all the agencies have good coordination and cooperation in order to eliminate the Polio in Nangarhar.
But recently, the series of families returning from Pakistan has started. Seventy-five percent of the families stay in this province and it is necessary to pay serious attention to vaccinating them.
Dr. Rudolph Tangerman, head of the World Health Organization’s Polio Vaccine Monitoring Department head, said that after twenty-five years, he came to Afghanistan for the purpose of monitoring and investigating the comprehensive situation of the polio vaccine.
He said that great work is going on in Nangarhar in the eradication of polio vaccine, he praised and thanked JACK & other related agencies in this regard.
Mr. Tangerman told that there are some minor problems that will be solved by coordination.
During the meeting , Dr. Najibullah Kamwal, head of the Polio Eradication Program, Dr. Shamshir, head of UNICEF in Afghanistan, Rotary and other aid agencies were also present.
